Lawn Treatment Program
Lawn Treatment Program
1. Spring Application includes crabgrass control which is needed to prevent the growth of crabgrass during the summer months. This also includes nitrogen fertilizer to promote good color and growth to start the year with a beautiful green lawn. We begin this application the last week of February through the month of April.
2. Late Spring Application includes broadleaf herbicide to control the weeds. Herbicide will help control the common spring weeds such as clover, dandelions, chickweed, henbit, bittercress, deadnettle, oxalis, etc. Weeds will start to discolor a few days after the application is applied. Allow weeds to die off after 2 to 3 mowings. This application is done in April through mid-May.
3. Summer Application includes insecticide to help prevent surface feeding insects from feeding the grass blades and damaging your turf. This will target insects such as sod webworms, bill bugs, chinch bugs, cutworms, etc. These insects can cause thin and discolored areas throughout the lawn. If left untreated, these pests can cause permanent damage to the turf that will need to be restored in the Fall with Aeration & Seeding. Also, liquid fertilizer with iron will be applied to maintain proper color and growth through the summer months. This application is provided in between the months of May through July.
4. Grub Control Application includes a systemic insecticide and broadleaf weed control to suppress the early stages of summer annual weeds. The insecticide will prevent grubs from feeding on your roots of your grass. Japanese Beetle Grubs and European Chafer Grubs are common in our areas. Grubs can cause discolored areas in the lawn and eventually cause dead areas if left untreated. This application is highly recommended to be done at the same time of the Summer Application between May through July.

(Summer Application & Grub Control Application will be applied on the same date for best results to prevent insect infestation)
5. Late Summer Application includes fertilizer to help lawn recover from heat and drought stress from the high summer temperatures. Broadleaf weed control will also be used to reduce the summer weeds growing in the lawn. This application is very important especially if you plan on Aerating, Seeding, or Renovating your lawn. The weed control will prepare your lawn for seeding by eliminating the weeds to give you the best results. This must be done at least 2 weeks before putting down grass seed. Best time to get this done is in August and September.
6. Fall Application includes fertilizer to enhance the color and growth of your grass. This fertilizer is used during Aeration & Seeding Services or separately beginning in September through November.
7. Winter Application starts in December and can be done anytime throughout the Winter months. This includes broadleaf herbicide to control existing weeds and helping to prevent Winter & Spring annual weeds from maturing and spreading their seeds. Application will give your lawn a clean appearance when the Spring season starts. This also helps prevent weeds from taking over your lawn which will give you the best results from Aeration & Seeding. This is done from the beginning of December through March.
